Tonight

Tonight, I cried tears with question marks colored in blue.

I remember the hurt and pain others caused me

For that…I cannot trust.

I care much for all, but with the day’s haziness, people and their emotions are unleashed like Cujo.

They attack with viciousness that leaves you with

A scratch

A bruise

A laceration to the throat

As the wounds heal, the scars become my stories.

The Pink Bike Accident

The Pink Bike Accident

I remember a long time ago, when I was around six or seven years old, I was riding my bike around the house, like I did practically every single day. I don’t know what kind of fun I got out of riding a bike; maybe I felt like I was driving a car or something or maybe, I’d pretend to go on wild adventures. It was cool as a kid though. I had a small, pink bicycle and I loved the color pink at that time; Now, I hate the color pink…I despise it. J

Now for some strange odd reason, I wanted to ride my little, pink bike down the hill in the backyard of my house. I think I wanted to do that, because two of my older brothers did it all the time. I wanted to be a bit courageous, but I would soon find out that being courageous, going down a steep hill, would be a complete mistake; one that would be memorable for years to come.

I stood at the edge of the hill with my bike and I thought about what I was going to do before I did it; that’s something that I never stopped doing, even until this day. Anyway, I finally decided to make up my mind and I pushed myself down the hill and started peddling. Before I knew it, I was moving too fast. It felt like I was going 70 mph. down the hill!

Now, I was told how to brake when I wanted to stop my bicycle, but as I was going down this steep hill, I couldn’t stop my bike. I was rolling mad[1] fast and before I knew it, Boom![2] I ran smack dab into the shed at the bottom of the hill. The next thing I remember seeing was stars swirling around my head, like the ones in cartoons when the characters are, knocked out cold[3]. When the stars were gone, then came the tears and the excruciating pain. I walked back up the hill, with tears flowing from my eyes like Niagara Falls and my grandmother hugged me until all the pain and tears stopped. And she said, “I’ll take the pain for you.”

I indeed remember that day and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. I learned my lesson and I never went rolling down that hill, with that little, pink bicycle again. Running into the shed, was both the funniest and the worst thing that has happened to me as a child. I think I was pretty lucky and indeed blessed.

Cut me loose! Where's my freedom?

Two lines are few

The words escape

What you do must relate

Take the time, but make quick haste

I see the crimes

Made by times

In cities

That smolder my rhymes

The dust

The trust

The rags

The lust

The addiction

Is a conviction

I must face

As he is my drug

And he says that I am not mugg

But I am his drug

A conviction he must face

A sentence too big to erase

I cannot stand for he makes me weak in my knees

He says I am a tease

But baby please!
Cease the moment as if there is no tomorrow

He chokes me with his words

Slaps me with quotations

Kills me with his expressions

And I lay dying
Helpless and full of lust

I am confined to the rules of society

Held back by the crimes of my people

And my love stolen away by lust

How can we ever be free?

Creativity from a writer's point of view

To me, using creativity allows people to delve within themselves and discover their spiritual side. If it weren't for dancers, singers, writers, artists, and actors/actresses the world would be a boring place. Those people bring the world alive and give it a heartbeat. The rhythms, sounds, movements, colors, and descriptions make people look into their imaginations to ease all pains that life can bring.
Honestly I feel that creative people are like portals and God works through them to create his visions. That's why I feel so good about being a writer, because I know that God is using me for his divine purposes. When the whole process begins, electricity flows through my veins when an idea comes to me and I have to quickly write it down. I love being a writer, because I feel like I'm doing what I am supposed to do. When you do the things you're supposed to do, you feel very peaceful and you're no longer searching for your dream. The only thing you look for is to grow and evolve; therefore making yourself versatile.

Teenager and the world

I heard about this teen girl who inhaled helium the other day and died. If teenagers aren't stupid these days, then I don't know who is. Children are disrespecting their parents, people are disrespecting their elders, people are practicing weird sexual things, women and men having sex with any and everyone, STDs are everywhere, people are killing and kidnapping children, robberies are on the rise, people are drinking, smoking, shooting up, and inhaling things they got no busy messing with...One question. America, what is wrong with you? Once you figure it out, change it.

God is with all who believe in Him

I know for a fact that God is indeed watching over us. I have had things happen where you just can't explain it, but you know God is there. He has sent me two dreams where they both came true and he has talked to me (warned me) in pure daylight (but not audibly...very hard to explain). I'm far from perfect, I've been treated wrongly over the years by so many people, i've contemplated suicide when I was 15 years old...I can say I have grown so much since then and I owe it all to God. I am here, alive, and breathing because of God. God is love, he is the truth, and the light!

Michael Oher on The Charge Of The Light Bridage

Courage is a hard thing to figure. You can have courage based on a dumb idea or a mistake, but you are not supposed to question adults or your coach or your teacher. Because they make the rules. Maybe they know the best or maybe they don’t.

It all depends on who you are and where they come from.

Didn’t at least the six hundred guys think of givi...ng up and joining with the other side? I mean “The Valley Of Death”. That’s pretty salty stuff. That’s why courage is tricky, should you always do what others tell you to do.

Sometimes you might not even know why you do something. I mean any fool can have courage. But honour, that’s the real reason you do something or you don’t. It’s who you are and maybe who you want to be.

If you die trying for something important then you have both honour and courage and that’s pretty good.

I think that’s what the writer was saying: that you should hope for courage and try for honour and maybe even pray that the people telling you what to do have some too.

People who cheat in marriages are...

You know what I think of people who cheat in marriages? They're morons! They don't deserve the person they are with or were with. If you want to be with someone else then don't get married. Marriage is for life people! Duh! smh If you decide to get married you have to respect and love your spouse. Men love your wives like Christ loved the church and women submit to your husbands.

What do you guys think about people who cheat?

My opinion about young people getting married

You know, you might think i'm crazy but I really don't care. I think people our age...like early twenties should get married while still going to school. The reason I say that is, because there will be no cohabitation, no babies out of wedlock, and you'll be happy! (Well, okay maybe I'll be happy. Lol) I feel as though people cannot control their hormones, so why not get married? They say, you hav...e your whole lives ahead of you to think about marriage! *Shakes my head* I'm not buying into that anymore. I'd rather have my life squared away, than to screw it up unmarried. I also think that marriage takes time to build and as the years go by love grows. When things go wrong, pray and seek God. Keep Him in your marriage and in your lives, because he only wants the best for His children.

I hate abortion!

Now, about this whole abortion thing...I just don't get it. Why would you? How could you even think of doing something like that? I understand women do get pregnant by being raped, but it's not the child's fault. Give birth to your baby and if You cannot handle it, then there are grounds for adoption. 13 million babies were supposedly aborted in NYC in 2009 and it was higher than anything else lik...e homicide. (A podcast source) And they were African American. Add that up around the country and see what it is. That's too many babies who never got a chance to breathe their first breath and look into their parent's eyes. All because of work, your parents, school? This makes me very angry and to me, there's no good reason for it. (From podcast source) The African American population is on the decline. Now whether or not this is true, I don't know. I just know that it's wrong in so many ways.

Small message, but inspirational

If you have lots of questions about your life...there's only one you can go to. God knows all things. He knows what's going to happen tomorrow, next month, next year. He knows your whole life!

New trend among young people

So the new trend among young people is having babies without getting married first. I will definitely say, I will NOT be a part of that statistic. Kids don't have dads now a days anyway. Why continue with it? If you can't keep from getting pregnant, don't open your legs! Don't expect me to feel sorry for you or think it's cute. What do you guys think?

What I learned from God

Okay, so life right now is a bit unpredictable. I don’t know what it is that I want to do with my life, so I keep looking and hoping that I will find God’s will. I remember praying for God to give me courage and sure enough I was contacted for a tour and interview at a UPS facility. I was so nervous and not only that, I happened to be the only female there. Lol I didn’t get the job, but to me it doesn’t matter. God gave me the opportunity to be courageous and step out of my shell. I say, when God gives us opportunities take it…you never know where it will lead you.
A Child Calls

Try in your heart to write again
Try in your heart to believe again
Those were the times when Lord you seemed so near
…and now I cannot feel you
For my thoughts invade my heart
And, and I cannot discern what is coming from you Lord or the dreadful serpent
I need my eyes to open
My thoughts to burn in a fiery pit
My heart to feel
My body to feel free
To feel at peace like the waves in the sea
Lord, speak to me and let me know your will for my life
For I can no longer stand this feeling of nothing and of not feeling needed

Embrace Silence

Embrace Silence

When you embrace silence, you hear things that you wouldn't normally hear if you were participating in the daily chit chat with friends. To me, the most important thing about silence is you can hear God speaking to you. You gain knowledge from Him and the world around you. Listening is the most powerful thing to learn. You cannot learn if you do not listen and in order to listen, there must be silence. Silence helps in so many ways, especially when you're tired after a long day; all you want is silence. Silence heals and soothes the everyday pains of life. All your worries and stresses melt away. Think of how silent sleeping is, well except when someone is snoring.
Another thing silence is to me, is peace. Going a little off topic, but when you die/pass away you are at peace and you are silent. You no longer worry, stress, deal with hectic days, boredom, anger, jealousy, and sadness. When a love one passes on, the best thing to do is remember their life and be happy they're in peace. Now, when I look at silence I see it in a whole new light. I embrace it, instead of disliking it. I once use to resent being quiet and shy. but now I embrace it like a warm hug. When one aproaches me and asks, "Why are you so quiet?" I'll just simply say, "I'm listening, maybe you should give it a try."
See, there it goes again. Everytime I write while being silent, I learn more things about myself that I've never known. Wow! Silence is such an amazing learning tool. Who knew that one of the most important things in life was something so simple. I regret the day I considered being shy a curse. Being shy is more of a gift of you think about it. There's no trouble surrounding you and we're the nicest people you could ever meet. Maybe people should learn more about it and embrace silence.
